Purpose‑Built Glass for Those Who Stand Ready

Built for Protectors

Sentinel Optics USA is a small, Faith, Family, and Freedom driven optics company based in Missouri, dedicated to serving prepared citizens, hunters, and precision rifle competitors with dependable, purpose‑built optical systems.

Who We Are

Sentinel Optics USA is a family‑owned American business built around our core beliefs: faith in God, commitment to family, and love of freedom. We exist to support responsible citizens, first responders, and outdoorsmen with tools that help them protect, provide, and enjoy God’s creation together. As a Missouri‑based company, we are proud to stand on traditional American values while pushing innovation in the shooting and optics space.

Our Founder

Sentinel Optics USA was founded by David Henry, a competitive precision rifle shooter and lifelong outdoorsman. David has competed in the Precision Rifle Series (PRS), with over 40 recorded matches across Pro and Regional Series events, bringing real‑world match and field experience into every product decision. He has also shot steel matches and other precision rifle disciplines, which sharpened his understanding of what shooters need from modern optics under time, stress, and real environmental conditions.

Beyond competition, David sees himself as a prepared citizen and steward of his community, focused on self‑reliance, capability, and quiet professionalism. He loves the outdoors and spends as much time as he can hunting, training, and teaching others to enjoy shooting and the outdoors safely and ethically. David is married to his wife Tracey, the love of his life, and together they are raising five children with the same values that shape this company.

Industry Experience and Writing

David’s work extends beyond the firing line and into the written side of the precision rifle world. He has contributed technical and practical content for brands like MDT, including build features and long‑range shooting articles that highlight modern chassis systems, cartridges, and training approaches. His insight into gear selection, rifle setup, and ballistic performance has also supported print and digital publications in the precision rifle and “tactical” space, where he has helped with product tests and reviews to give shooters honest, experience‑based perspectives.

This blend of competition background, real‑world field use, and published technical writing informs how Sentinel Optics USA designs and evaluates every optic. If David would not trust it on his own rifle in a match, a hunt, or a defensive role, it does not wear the Sentinel name.

Why We Started – Family and Legacy

Our first thermal optic is named in honor of David’s oldest son, who passed away at three years old, and it exists as both a tool and a legacy. That name on the side of the housing is a daily reminder that family comes first, that tomorrow is never guaranteed, and that the work we do should mean something beyond a part number and a price tag.

Because of that, Sentinel Optics USA is built around the idea of self‑reliance without isolation: being able to stand alone, while knowing you are never truly alone. We aim to build a community of protectors—moms, dads, officers, veterans, competitors, and prepared citizens—who show up for each other in times of need and share knowledge the way the best shooting communities always have.

Our Products and Mission

Our mission is to provide high‑quality, thoroughly vetted optics that arrive ready to work and stay in the fight. We are committed to shipping optics that meet our standards the first time, so customers receive optical systems they can mount with confidence and immediately put to use. We are starting with thermal optics designed for the realities of American hunters and prepared citizens, balancing performance, durability, and value instead of chasing specs that only look good on a brochure.

Looking ahead, we are already developing a variable daytime optic planned as a tactical/competitive crossover scope. The goal is a scope that feels equally at home in a hunting blind, on a PRS stage, or on a practical precision DMR or “duty‑style” rifle, blending competitive features with rugged field reliability. David’s years of match experience and rifle setup knowledge drive the reticle design, turret feel, and overall usability so shooters can focus on solving stages and making hits, not fighting their glass.

Content and Training – David’s YouTube Channel

A big part of how we give back to the shooting community is through David’s YouTube channel, where he shares match breakdowns, gear setups, field shooting tips, and hard‑earned lessons from real precision rifle competition and training. Under the banner “Where Skill Meets Determination,” his videos walk through topics like rifle and optic setup, stage strategy, positional shooting, and practical drills that regular shooters can use to get better with the gear they already own. Built to Grow with the Community

Sentinel Optics USA will start small, but we are intentionally building for long‑term growth alongside the shooting community that supports us. As we earn the trust of more shooters, our goal is to expand our product line, bring more manufacturing and assembly work stateside, and create jobs for American workers. We are deeply grateful for every customer, training partner, club, and match director who chooses to support this mission, and we look forward to growing together as a company, a community, and a family.
